Autonomy and Automation:

1. • The movement of "open source," "peer-to-peer", blockchain, CommonAccord ("P2P") is about to engulf transacting.
   • P2P is arriving in the context of:
     1. the massive centralization and automation of production, marketing, transport and finance ("supply");
     2. the internet of things coming to life; and
     3. artificial intelligence becoming at least as good as humans at most tasks required to run an automated system of supply.
2. • The conference will explore a simple, legally-enabled approach to P2P which we think has substantial advantages, notably in security, safety and legitimacy.
   • The foundations are:
     1. A peer-based approach to records and transacting;
     2. A flexible "object model" for legal relationships; and
     3. Wikipedia-like sharing of forms, boilerplate and other text.
3. Technically, this is based on:
   1. the CommonAccord data model as a format for transaction records;
   2. cryptographically-secured access to records; and
   3. blockchain-based automation (smart contracts) and proof.
4. We expect the focus of the the conference to be presentation of projects and discussion to raise awareness among legal, business and government leaders of the impact of this codified, peer-based approach to law and transacting.
